The Senior Professional Staff includes David Akridge, Vice President; RJ Greene, Vice President; Julie Caswell, CFO; Rob Greene, Director of Operations; Bob Weiser, Director of Operations; Jim Davis - Director of Operations; and Scott Rosenthal, Director of Sales & Marketing.

Doug Greene (1947-2008) , Founder and Former President began his hotel career in 1971.  In addition to his extensive operations background, Doug also played a major role in the company development and served a two year term on the board of the International Association of Holiday Inns.  He was a 1973 graduate of the University of Maine, having also attended Georgia Institute of Technology, and served in the US Army.
   
Dave Akridge, Vice President has over 20 years of Operations experience, and is a Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser, as well as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser.  Dave has also served as an individual receiver for many properties.  Both Dave and RJ are involved in all areas of Operation including hiring of personnel, operations, owner points of contact, development of the budget and sales and marketing plan.
   

 

 

RJ Greene, Vice President is a second generation hotelier and has worked for the Ocean family for over 15 years.  RJ started his General Manager career in the Fairfield Inn by Marriott Brand in 1996.  He served as Regional Director of Operations from 2001 to 2005 and participated in 11 asset takeovers in that time, including serving as a court appointed receiver in multiple foreclosure and receivership court cases.  In 05, RJ assumed his Dad, Doug Greene's role in Management Contract Development for Ocean Hospitalities.  RJ assists in Sales and Operations Management in conjunction with Dave Akridge for the 24 hotels in the managed portfolio of Ocean Hospitalities.  After performing the sales effort, negotiating, and executing the contracts, RJ leads the opening operations team on all new construction, focus service hotels.  He has recently opened 9 select service properties within the last 5 years with such brands as Hilton Garden Inn, Springhill Suites by Marriott, Hampton Inn, Residence Inn by Marriott, Homewood Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Holiday Inn, and Fairfield Inn by Marriott.  RJ resides in Dover, New Hampshire with his Wife and two kids.
   
  Julie Cousins, CFO is responsible for the monthly financial statements and any other financial reporting required by our clients.  She is the primary financial liaison for the client and can provide financial reporting in the Company’s standard format or modify it to meet specific reporting needs.
   
  Gabrielle Smith, Controller, Oversees Staff Accountants and Accounts Payable Staff to ensure the day to day accounting functions operate efficiently and effectively.
   
Rob Greene, Regional Director of Operations, has been a member of the Ocean team since it’s creation in 1990.  He was a general manager handling many hotel turnarounds during the 1990’s until he became a Director of Operations in 1993.  Rob has experience with most of the major franchises and has a vast experience with renovations and conversions.  Rob resides in Palm Bay, FL with his wife and two children.
   
Bob Weiser, Regional Director of Operations, has also been with the Ocean family for many years. Bob started his career with us in 1979 as a front desk associate and moved on quickly into positions of greater responsibility, including General Manager. In this position, Bob was highly successful in turning under performing properties into performers. In 1996 He was appointed as a Regional.
Bob resides in New Hampshire with his wife, daughter, son and Bernese Mountain Dog, Jeter, the family pet.
   
Jim Davis - Regional Director of Operations, has been with Ocean since September of 2001. Jim started his career with us as a General Manger and over saw multiple properties. In March of 2003 he was selected to become a Regional. Jim has simultaneously enjoyed a military career that spans thirty years. He is currently attaining his Masters degree in business. Jim lives in South Carolina with his wife, two sons and family pets, a dog and a cat.
   
Scott Rosenthal, Director of Sales & Marketing and Internet Relations oversees all Sales & Marketing efforts, as well as Internet strategies of the properties.  He is also responsible for all major Trade Show representation.  Scott started in the travel field as a Sales Supervisor for a National Agency, training Travel Agents how to sell leisure travel, land and cruise packages.  He later led the sales effort for a major chain of Caribbean hotels before joining the Ocean family in March 1999.
Scott is a member of the National Tour Association, Travel Agents International, Florida Huddle, Travel South, African-American Travel Conference, American Bus Association and an Accommodation Committee Member for ABA's Project 2010 eMarket.  Scott resides on Cape Cod with his wife and kids.
